Mission of The People's Place

The mission of People’s Place is to feed, clothe and respond to the essential needs of the people in Ulster County with kindness, compassion and the preservation of human dignity.

People’s Place emulates the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) (U.N. 1948) article 25, eradicating hunger in Ulster County. Our goal since 1972 is to feed and clothe our Ulster County Community.

With the help of over 80 dedicated volunteers our impact in Ulster County during 2016 surpassed any previous year:

o Your Choice Food Pantry (provided over 250,000 meals per year)
o Warm Coats from Warm Hearts (gifted over 800 free coats)
