Each year Project Santa is a Christmas miracle! In 2019 nearly 2,000 children in Ulster County received a toy, craft/game, warm winter item, books & stocking stuffers. That's over 11,000 items of Christmas joy. We can't possibly mention every generous heart that gave the gifts of time, toys, books, money, winter weather clothing and emotional support this holiday season. But these few photogenic individuals tell the story of joy received by those who gave of themselves through Project Santa. We are humble and grateful to live in the caring and generous Ulster County community.
By the way, over 800 families also received bagged lunch, breakfast and snack items to ensure a full belly during the 2019 holiday break from school as part of our Bag Holiday Hunger program.
On July 23rd, 2020 we held a very special fundraiser, Save Project Santa, to ensure all the children of Ulster County have a magical Christmas this year. Christine Hein hosted a day of entertainment, surprise guests, fun antics and stories of Project Santa's past, with the wildly energetic Karen Clark Adin of Bop to Tottom co-hosting.
Santa flew in for a summer appearance on the People's Place roof top to help us raise funds to purchase over 16,000 toys & gifts for over 2,500 children right here in our community.
